Join the Bioblitz — City Nature Challenge 2026

Qld Environment Day··1 min read

Take part in the City Nature Challenge from April 24–27. From Brisbane to Logan, Redland City to the Sunshine Coast, our whole region is coming together to celebrate and record local biodiversity. It's pretty special when you think about it. Thousands of people, all over the world, kneeling down to photograph a beetle or peering up at a tree on the same weekend.

Head to our highlights to find the links and join your local challenge.

What to record: All taxa, plants, animals, fungi, the lot.

Excluding: Domestic dogs, cats, and humans (sorry).

So grab your phone, get outside, start observing, and be part of something bigger.
